Undergraduate Students

As an Undergraduate Student, you can join our lab as either an Honours Thesis Student or as a Research Volunteer. See the slides below for more information.

Volunteer and Work Study Opportunities

If you’re an undergraduate student interested in volunteering or participating in a work study position in our lab for the 2025–2026 academic year, please contact our lab manager, Renee Guerville, at rguervil@uwo.ca by clicking the email.

The application process is the same for both volunteering and work study. However, if you’re eligible for work study, we encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to be paid for your time.

To apply, please email Renee from your UWO email account with the subject line: “Interested Undergraduate Volunteer – [Your Name]”

Please include the following in your email:

  • An up-to-date CV

  • An unofficial copy of your transcript

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Renee as well. Thank you for your interest!

Graduate Students

Prospective MSc and PhD Students

Please note that at this time the lab is taking applications for graduate students for the 2024-2025 school year – application dates in Dec 2023.

We are specifically looking for future students who are interested in using different neuroimaging methods (fMRI, EEG, fNiRS, etc) to study multisensory processing in a basic science framework, as well as in development, aging, and neurodiverse groups. We are also explicitly encouraging applications from equity deserving groups, including but not limited to visible minorities, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse individuals, and otherwise historically underrepresented groups.

The lab typically takes students through the Psychology program or the program in Neuroscience. Prospective psychology students should apply through Cognitive, Developmental, and Brain Sciences, and I will on rare occasion take on Clinical Science and Psychopathology students.

See below for Graduate Student Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Q: Are you taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year?

  • A: Yes

Postdoctoral Fellowships

We are always looking for qualified postdoctoral researchers to join the lab. If you are interested in pursuing a postdoctoral, please contact our Principal Investigator directly at ryan.andrew.stevenson@gmail.com.
